Elite athletes stop at nothing to take the best care of their bodies, and we should all think of mental health the same way, Phelps said. If conditions like depression, anxiety, stress were treated the same way as physical injuries, it could save lives and dramatically improve people’s ability to succeed in whatever area of life they choose, he said. If you go to a training room or weight room for any college or pro team, they’re going to have anything and everything they possibly need.
