A man questioned over a drive-by shooting at a church in central London that left a seven-year-old girl in a life-threatening condition has been bailed. The Metropolitan police said a 22-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder had been bailed pending further inquiries until a date in mid-February. Three women aged 41, 48 and 54 were taken to a central London hospital where their injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening. Police said the 48-year-old woman had potentially life-changing injuries. A 21-year-old woman was also taken to a central London hospital and her condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.
The shots sent mourners running and screaming, with many sheltering inside the church, witnesses said.
